Mike Maness, Principal

Michael Maness graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1993 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. He taught 4thand 5th grade at Hairgrove Elementary School from 1993 - 1999.  Mr. Maness earned his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University in 1998 and joined the staff at Ault Elementary School where he served as an Assistant Principal from 1999 – 2004.  In March of 2004, he was promoted to principal of Jowell Elementary School, a position he held until he moved in 2007 to open Warner Elementary School.  Mr. Maness became part of the staff at Spillane Middle School in February 2012 where served as principal until he was given the opportunity to join the Mustang family in December 2017.  He earned his superintendent certification through Lamar University and is currently enrolled and working to obtain his doctorate in educational leadership. 
Mr. Maness and his wife, Ginger, married in 1994.  They have two daughters, Hannah and Sophie, who attend Cypress Woods High School.



Jason Tullos, Associate Principal

Jason Tullos graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2002 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Biology. He taught 6th grade Science and 8th grade Math for five years at Cook Middle School.  Mr. Tullos received a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2006 and was then employed as an Assistant Principal at Cook Middle School from 2007 until joining the Mustang family in 2012.  During the summer of 2017 he was named the Associate Principal of Cy Ranch High School. 

Mr. Tullos married his wife here in Houston and has four children who all attend Cy-Fair ISD schools.  Mr. Tullos has served as a Cub and Boy Scout Leader for eight years and oversees a program aimed at teaching character development to young men from the local community. 


Lisa Parliament, Director of Instruction

Lisa Parliament graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in French Education in 2003 and a Master of Arts in French in 2005. Mrs. Parliament taught French at Hamilton Middle School for five years before joining the Mustang family. At Cypress Ranch she taught French I-VI for four years before serving as the Director of Instruction Helping teacher for three years. Lisa completed her principal certification through Stephen F. Austin University in 2016. In the summer of 2017, Lisa became the Director of Instruction at Cypress Ranch.
